Mauro began developing the strategy behind what would become Ore Investments in 2017 and formally founded the firm in 2019. As CEO, he leads Ore’s strategic direction, investment sourcing, and execution. He also manages investor relations and works closely with limited partners to align long-term interests and drive value creation.
He has held leadership roles in corporate development, M&A, and project management across the mining and natural resources sector. Prior to founding Ore, Mauro served as Director of Corporate Development at Forbes & Manhattan in Brazil, where he led transactions in gold, fertilizers, and base metals. He was also Country Manager for Belo Sun Mining’s Volta Grande project, and earlier in his career held roles at Vale, ArcelorMittal, and Azevedo Sette Advogados.
Mauro holds degrees in Law and Business Administration, is a licensed attorney with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), and earned an MBA from the University of Toronto. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, and brings a multidisciplinary perspective that bridges legal, financial, and operational expertise in the natural resources sector.
