Márcio Botaro is Operations Manager at Ore Investments, responsible for executing operational strategies across the portfolio companies. He currently serves as Site Manager at Ativa Titanium and Vanadium, leading the implementation, operation, and technical oversight of the unit, and actively contributing to due diligence processes and mine engineering assessments.
He holds a Mining Engineering degree from UFOP (Federal University of Ouro Preto) and an MBA in Project Management from FGV. With 23 years of solid experience in the mining value chain, Márcio has worked in both open-pit and underground operations. He has built his career in leading companies in the sector, such as AngloGold Ashanti, Jaguar Mining, Samarco, and Vale, managing end-to-end mining operations with a strong focus on safety, productivity, cost control, and sustainability.
Throughout his career, he has developed a strong technical and managerial foundation across key areas of mining operations, including planning, drilling and blasting, infrastructure, mine operation, beneficiation, shipping, internal logistics, team and contract management, as well as leading expansion and innovation projects.
Márcio also has international experience, having completed professional training programs in Chile, Australia, and Germany, which contribute to a global perspective and innovative approach to operational and strategic management. He holds an active CREA registration, is fluent in Portuguese and English, and holds Italian citizenship.
