Eduardo Cardoso is a Partner at Ore Investments and leads the firm’s investment analysis, investments and financial strategy, and portfolio oversight. Eduardo plays a central role in evaluating new opportunities, building investment theses, and guiding capital allocation across Ore’s mining portfolio. Eduardo also oversees financial performance monitoring, supports strategic decision-making at the asset level, and works closely with portfolio company leadership to drive value creation.
Eduardo brings a background spanning economic evaluation, project finance, FP&A, and cost control. Prior to Ore, he held senior finance roles at Vale, Anglo American, CSN Mineração, and Yamana Gold, and served as Cost Controller for Mineração Morro do Ipê (a joint venture between Trafigura and Mubadala). He also worked as a consultant at SNC Lavalin and Minerconsult, supporting feasibility studies and financial models for a wide range of commodities, including gold, iron ore, lithium, rare earths, phosphate, graphite, vanadium, and others.
Eduardo holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from UFMG and a postgraduate degree in Management with a focus on Finance from Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC). He is a licensed investment manager in Brazil with CGA, CGE, and GGF certifications from CVM/ANBIMA. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, Eduardo brings a data-driven, multidisciplinary perspective to Ore’s investment decision-making and portfolio strategy.
